- The construction “be + to + verb” is a formal construction that is used either a) to give an instruction or command, or b) to tell what is going to happen in the future.
be to do表將來的,就是說做這些將來能有什麼收穫/意義。

8.表示“可能性”.例如:It's eleven o'clock now.He is to get to Mike's house.(現在11 點了,可能他已經到達邁克的家了.) Let's see who is to win the game. (讓我們看看誰會贏得這場比賽.)
9.表示“徵求對方的意見”.例如:Am I to go on with the work?(這項工作我是不是接著幹下去?) When are they to hand in their plan?(他們的計劃什麼時候交上來?)
